MY TOP FAVE SELF TANNING LOTIONS

SO SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY HERE ! (YAY!) AND WE ALL WANT TO GET THAT SUMMER GLOW AND NICE LOOKING TAN WITH OUT HAVING TO SIT OUT IN THE SUN BURNING OUR BODY SO I WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU MY TOP FAVORITE SELF TANNING LOTIONS THAT IVE TRIED AND GOTTEN GOOD RESULTS TO A GOOD LOOKING TAN !
I DO WANT TO SAY I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH NONE OF THESE COMPANIES THAT MAKE THESE PRODUCTS I'M JUST GIVING MY REVIEW ON THESE PRODUCTS ..
So this is the CRARINS SELF TANNING GEL i like the way it left my skin it gave a nice looking glow to my skin very easy to apply on to the skin and it dries very quickly witch i give a two thumps up and does not leave any streaking , it gives a very natural good looking color . The only down side will be it does have a strong chemical smell to it witch i did not like. this self tanner goes for about 35.00 dollers for a 4.4oz bottle .. yes its small but it works perty good .. i probably won't get it again because it is a little pricey .. and because of the smell ..


This is the JERGENS NATURAL GLOW REVITALIZING DAILY MOISTURIZER  so this also i loved to use as a self tanner lotion . this is easy to apply and it does give you a natural color ,smells good and its moisturizing witch is a plus for me .. just because i do get dry skin .. it does take about 10 min to dry witch to me is a bit too long and also to get that natural tan you must put it on all the time i do advise to wait about 30 min for it to be fully dry or it will stain your clothes .. this lotion does go for 8.00 bucks .. its not bad in the price , i can say i will buy it again ...



This is the ALBA BOTANICA VERY EMOLLIENT SUNLESS TANNING ,so this self tanner I've tried only 2 times and wasn't very happy about .. well the good thing about this self tanner is they use all natural ingredients witch is a good thing it is paraben-free for those who don't know what is parapen is a chemical used as a preservative and mimics the hormone estrogen . and moisturizing , the down side to this self tanner is it does take a very long time to for the color to develop it practically takes up to 24 hrs for the tan to fully develop but the color does last for weeks ... this goes for about 11.00 bucks not to pricey i will say i will not buy this again ...

D.I.Y DETOX WATER


When trying to get your heath back on track for the summer , theres many ways to detox.This is one good way to flush out the toxins out your body . its simple and you get lots and lots of water . Add all of these to a large pitcher or bottle of water and drink throughout the next day for an effective way to detox! It helps to let these pieces soak overnight in your fridge to let the flavors meld. 


  • Lemon: Lemon water makes for a powerful detox drink; lemon juice helps to cleanse and alkalize the body. Add one thinly sliced lemon to a large pitcher, or squeeze fresh lemon juice into your glass.
 
  • Mint: Mint adds a touch of sweetness without the sugar to your water, and it also helps settle your stomach and aids in digestion as well.


  • Cucumber: Cucumber water isn't just for spas. Adding a few slices of cucumber to your water makes for excellent rehydration, and cucumber contains anti-inflammatory properties, as well.




  • Ginger: The spicy root helps cleanse out your system, aids in digestion, and settles your stomach. A little goes a long way, so start with a few thin slices, and add more as necessary.

HOW TO DETOX !!

  SO IN THE SUMMER WE ALL GET MOTIVATED TOO LOSE SOME POUNDS AND WANT TO THINK THE MOST HEALTHY WAY TO LOOSE WEIGHT .. TO GET A GOOD START WILL BE A DETOX .  

 The summer is probably the best time to do any of these things, because your body already doesn’t need as much food in the summer to sustain itself.try making some changes Monday through Friday. It is remarkably easier packing yourself a different lunch than making two separate meals for you and your family on the weekends. Plus, people enjoy indulging in the finer things on the weekends.

 The first thing you want to do will be to give up coffee YES coffee lol .. if its possible just have it 2 in one week . and if you are willing to give up the coffee for one week you can substitute the coffee for green tea
 Try eating lots of vegis and fruits they provide naturals sugars .. fruits and vegis are high in fiber vitamins , minerals and other nutrients that help prevent deseases 
Fruits and vegetables are low in glycemic index, so those with diabetes or other sugar-restricted diets should still be able to eat as much as they desire.

drink 8 glasses of water a day .. water is very important for your body especially during the summer we want to keep our body's hydrated .. this is one important aspect of detoxing your body .water flushes unwanted waste out your system .helps boost your metabolism; and gives you a feeling of fullness longer. Water also helps keep your energy up.

A summer detox is a great way to make your body healthy as it enters into the colder months. You will feel cravings often, but it’s probably nothing that a tall glass of water can’t cure. If your cravings are over-whelming, judge on a scale of 1-10 how bad it is. If it’s a 1, forget about it. If it’s a 5, stay strong! It could be worse! If your craving is a 10 out of 10, try a tall glass of water and counting to 100 to get your mind off it.

EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL 
SMALL BOWL
SHOWER CAP

POUR SOME OLIVE OIL INTO THE SMALL BOWL .THE AMOUNT OF OILS DEPENDS ON THE LENGTH AND THICKNESS OF YOUR HAIR

CUCUMBER SENSITIVE SKIN MASK


A spa facial treatment just wouldn't seem complete without a cucumber slice on each eye. While use of cucumbers for facials and the treatment of skin disorders has a long history in folk medicine, there are solid scientific explanations as to why cucumbers are beneficial for skin. While some of these benefits result from topical applications, taking cucumbers internally as well provides you with the most health benefits.

One of the simplest explanations as to why cucumbers work to get rid of bags under the eyes and eye swelling has nothing at all to do with the fact that they are cucumbers but rather the fact that they are cold from being kept in the refrigerator. Cold temperatures cause the blood vessels to restrict, thus bringing down swelling. The same purpose would be served by placing ice packs over your eyes. The cucumber slices, however, are the perfect shape and size for your eyes as well.

Everyone knows that a deflated balloon is wrinkly and flabby, but a full water balloon is tight and firm. The same analogy applies to your skin cells. When they are adequately hydrated they look firm and smooth, improving your overall complexion; when they are dehydrated, your skin can become slack. Cucumbers are 90 percent water, and if consumed frequently, can help your body and skin remain properly hydrated.

Silica, a vital mineral, is an essential part of healthy connective tissue and also improves skin health , For this very reason silica supplements are often sold as anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, youth-restoring products.

cucumbers contain several acids that contribute to skin health. The first is a substance called caffeic acid, which can soothe irritating skin  and minimize swelling.
Cucumber juice is mildly astringent and as such can be useful for cooling sunburns, tightening skin, reducing incidence of oily skin and even for acne.

WHAT YOU NEED 
  • 1 tablespoon brewer’s yeast
  • 1 tablespoon finely powdered oats
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
DIRECTIONS 
Mix together the yeast and oats in a small bowl and set aside.
Peel the cucumber slice and place in a small food processor and process until liquid and no chunks remain. Add the yogurt and honey and process further to mix. Add the brewer’s yeast and oats to the cucumber/honey mixture and process to combine fully.
To use, apply to clean face and neck skin and leave on for anywhere from 15 minutes to 1/2 hour. Rinse well and follow with toner and moisturizer.
The shelf life of this product is necessarily limited by the fresh cucumber. It should be used within a few days, and refrigerated between uses.

PAPAYA SKIN MASK ...


Papaya and pineapple contain papain and bromelain, two enzymes that dissolve oil and dry skin cells. Repeated use of this mask will do wonders, evening skintone and leaving behind soft, glowing skin! Perfect as a once-a-week skin luxury.Papaya is one of the healthiest fruits that you can eat. It contains many vitamins and minerals that prevent certain cancers as well as digestive disorders. In addition to papaya's vast health benefits, papaya is also helpful in achieving beautiful skin. Whether used topically or incorporated into a diet plan, papaya is important for skin care. 

Papaya has been used to heal skin ailments, such as breakouts, dry skin, cellulite and premature aging. These claims come from the powerful enzyme found in papayas called peptin. Peptin is a digestive enzyme, but when applied topically to the skin it helps to smooth it and make it healthy and radiant. Other skin nourishing properties include Vitamin A, C, E and carotenoids. These antioxidants also reduce inflammation of the skin.

The parts of the papaya that are able to be used are the fleshy pulp and the inside of the skin. The inside of the skin can be used to exfoliate rough areas. The best time to use the papaya is when it is orange and ripe. The best months to purchase papaya is May through September.


WHAT YOU NEED 


2 Tbs raw papaya, mashed finely
1/2 tsp fresh pineapple juice
1 tsp powdered green algae (optional)


DIRECTIONS 

In a small bowl, combine green algae with pineapple juice to form a paste. Mix thoroughly into mashed papaya, until a smooth paste is formed. Gently pat onto clean face and neck with fingers, then lie down for 15 minutes, making sure to lie on a towel as the mixture may run a bit as your skin warms it up. Your face may tingle a bit; no worries – you are feeling the fruit acids at work. Gently rinse off after 15 minutes. Makes 1 mask.

HOMEMADE GREEN TEA FACE MASK


Green tea is famously good for problem skin. It can help with your acne, but it’s also great at soothing sensitive skin of all kinds.GREEN TEA is the natural winner over its color wheel opposite, red(ness) thanks to rich sources of vitamins C and E. Green tea is also known to soothe your skin and its antioxidant powers protect it from unfriendly environmental factors and free radicals, both known to age skin.


  • Green tea
  • A tablespoon of granulated sugar
  • Half a tablespoon of lemon juice

Make a cup of green tea (with lots of tea. Twice as much loose tea as you’d normally use to drink, or two teabags if you use tea bags). Leave the tea bags in for an hour, and if the tea is still warm (unlikely) chill it in the fridge until it’s cool. Take it out, mix in the sugar and lemon juice, pat it onto your face and either use it as a facewash or (better) leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash off and moisturise.

D.I.Y EDIBLE MUD MASK !


IVE ALWAYS BEEN A HUGE FAN OF MUD MASK .. I LOVE THE WAY THEY LEAVE YOU FACE FELLING NICE AND SOFT I LOVE THIS ONE ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT "EDIBLE" SO I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOY TRYING OUT THIS EDIBLE MUD MASK.


GREEK YOGURT contains lactic acid, which exfoliates and smooths your skin. It loosens dead skin cells, helps clear out pores and can be used to fight blemishes.


HONEY is beneficial for all skin types because it helps the skin retain both elasticity and moisture. Because of this, honey is especially great for dry skin.


COCOA is rich in antioxidants such as iron, calcium, magnesium, and potassium, to name a few. It rejuvenates the skin, leaving it soft and glowing!


LEMON JUICE contains Vitamin C and Vitamin B. The citric acid in lemon juice exfoliates the skin, leaving it feeling smooth. Lemon juice can be applied to reduce oiliness, and it can also help diminish the appearance of scars and age spots.


BUTTERMILK is a natural pro-biotic and contains lactic acid, like Greek yogurt. It can be used to soften, brighten, tighten, and exfoliate the skin.


BANANA functions as a face mask by itself! Applying mashed banana to one’s face leaves it feeling softer and moisturized. Bananas are rich in potassium and can be used to help heal blemishes when applied directly to the skin.


This recipe makes enough for 3-5 face masks:
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. buttermilk   
  • ¼-1/2 of a banana, mashed
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
If you have dry or damaged skin, reduce or eliminate lemon juice and instead add an equivalent amount of honey. If you have particularly oily skin, use a little more lemon juice and a little less honey. My skin is some combination of the two, so I used equal amounts of both.

Mix well in a blender or food processor. Mask should be thick enough such that it does not run down your face. Always test the mask on a small portion of the skin to test for allergic reactions. The skin on your face is sensitive, so always be careful smearing anything on it! If allergy-free, apply a layer of the mask to your face and allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes. Wash off mask with cool water, followed by a splash of cold water to close your pores.

Rosemary Honey Hair Conditioner

The extremes of heat and cold we endure throughout winter can make even the greatest of hair look and feel like straw. This nourishing conditioner blends honey for shine; olive oil for moisture and essential oil of rosemary to stimulate hair growth.



Ingredients:
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup warmed olive oil (2 Tbsp. for normal to oily hair)
4 drops essential oil of rosemary
1 tsp. xantham gum

Instructions:
Place all the ingredients in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour into a clean plastic bottle with a tight fitting stopper or lid.Apply a small amount at a time to slightly dampened hair. Massage scalp and work mixture through hair until completely coated. Cover hair with a warm towel (towel can be heated in a microwave or dryer) or shower cap; leave on to nourish and condition for 30 minutes. Remove towel or shower cap; shampoo lightly and rinse with cool water. Dry as normal and enjoy shinier, softer and healthier hair the natural way.
